On September 9, 2026, PFR Engineering released FRNC-5PC v9.6.3. The new version includes a number of enhancements, upgrades and new features. Following are some highlights:
- Added new Optional ‘Combustion Air Composition’ input. This can be used to override the default Ambient Air composition, such as for Gas Turbine Exhaust, O2-enrichment, etc.
- Improved data Plot axes, to be more standard, and ignore blanks instead of plotting them as zeroes.
- Reduced the number of sometimes confusing internal convergence Warning messages in the Output, unless users select ‘Full Trace Output’.
- Changed the default Output editor from WordPad to NotePad, as the former is no longer included in Windows11.
